2022 is drawing to a close, and with just a few days left in the year, we look back at the progress made this year by the companies that make up the Ferrotall group.
The Ferrotall group's 2022 in review
-
CNC machinery
For Ferrotall, 2022 was a year in which we added several represented brands to our range of solutions for the machining sector. In CNC machinery, the highlights are:
Waldrich Coburg
One of the world market leaders in the construction of large machine tools, it manufactures milling machines in horizontal and vertical designs, vertical lathes and grinding machines.
Hanwha
The Korean manufacturer of Swiss-type lathes became one of our represented brands right in the middle of the year; we presented it as a represented brand at BIEMH and at Metalmadrid.
Starvision
A company specialising in double-column machining centres.
-
Vurcon CNC
2022 was also a year with plenty of news for Vurcon, as it added the slant-bed lathe and the flat-bed lathe with Fagor control.
-
Heller Maquinaria
In conventional machinery, Heller presented new products such as the FU1500 model, which was presented at BIEMH.
At Helfer we added benchtop and portable laser engravers, as well as a large number of tools for turning and milling.
-
Ferromaster
The Ferrotall group's own technical service, which works on both Heller conventional machinery and Ferrotall CNC machinery and Ferrotall Ocasión, received training at Hanwha's European headquarters in order to become, as it already is for GROB, the brand's official technical service in Spain.

BIEMH 2022
2022 began like a "back to school": after many months, industry events and trade fairs were back. 2022 was the year of BIEMH after a 4-year wait, and at Ferrotall we were really looking forward to it.
We took part in BIEMH with a 100 m² stand, where we exhibited the latest developments in both CNC machinery (with our represented brands WALDRICH COBURG, GROB WERKE, STARVISION, TAKUMI-HURCO, HANWHA and VURCON) and conventional machinery with Heller.
We also worked together with our colleagues at SolidCAM España, who were machining on their stand at the fair with our 5-axis machining centre GROB G350 and the 3-axis vertical machining centre Vurcon VL-106.
-
GROB WERKE OPEN HOUSE
A month before BIEMH, the German manufacturer of 4- and 5-axis machining centres and automation systems GROB WERKE held open days at its headquarters in Mindelheim from 3 to 6 May.
Naturally, Ferrotall was there, and we saw the large machinery exhibition in the showroom and the presentation of the new liquid metal printing machine, the GMP300, with which the company has moved fully into additive manufacturing.
-
AMB STUTTGART
Ferrotall attended the German trade fair together with our represented brands, visiting the stands of Waldrich Coburg, Grob Werke, Hurco-Takumi and Hanwha.
-
METALMADRID 2022
After our success at BIEMH in June with our colleagues at SolidCAM España, at Metal Madrid we decided to repeat the formula and machined live with them on the Swiss-type lathe from Hanwha.
We also had a large amount of conventional machinery on the Heller Maquinaria stand.
The live machining we carried out during MetalMadrid was a real success and drew a large number of people, who came by during the Innovations Tour of the fair.

2023: a very busy year
2023 is shaping up to be very busy, with the return of major events such as EMO HANNOVER and the TIMTOS fair in Taiwan. We would also highlight the arrival of two new trade fairs in Spain: Metal Barcelona and Advanced Manufacturing, in addition to the Subcontratación fair in Bilbao.
As for our represented brands, GROB is already confirming and preparing the 20th anniversary of its OPEN HOUSE events.
For the Ferrotall group, 2023 will also be a busy year, as we will almost certainly end the year in our new facilities in Monforte del Cid.
At Ferrotall we offer you a 360° solution, from industrial supplies to machinery, both conventional and CNC, new or used. Let a large group with more than 40 years of experience advise you.
