Pinacho L-1/225 centre lathe
Conventional centre lathe for machining shafts, bushings, flanges, pulleys and medium-sized parts of revolution. With a 450 mm swing over bed and a gap for short parts of up to 650 mm, it is a very common format in general machining and maintenance shops.
Key strengths
Pinacho is a Spanish lathe manufacturer and the L-1 series is one of its ranges of conventional centre lathes. This unit has a 300 mm wide bed and a 52 mm spindle bore, which lets bar of that diameter pass through the headstock.

What workpiece size does the Pinacho L-1/225 accept?
According to our data sheet it takes 1,150 mm between centres, with a swing of 450 mm over the bed, 650 mm over the gap and 260 mm over the cross slide. Bar up to 52 mm passes through the spindle bore. It is suited to shafts, flanges and medium-sized parts of revolution.
What does the designation L-1/225 mean?
L-1 is Pinacho's centre lathe series and the figure 225 usually indicates the centre height in millimetres, consistent with the 450 mm swing over the bed of this unit. The model is labelled on the headstock bezel, as can be seen in the photograph of the listing.
What is the gap in the bed for?
The gap is a recess in the bed next to the chuck that leaves more room to swing short parts of large diameter. On this lathe the swing goes from 450 mm over the bed to 650 mm in the gap, which allows discs, flanges or pulleys to be turned that would not fit over the bed.
