Description
The Vurcon PL-80 × 1500 is a CNC flat-bed lathe with 1,500 mm between centres. It swings Ø 800 mm over the bed and Ø 500 mm over the cross slide, turns up to Ø 800 × 1,350 mm and takes bars up to Ø 98 mm. The A2-11 spindle runs at 21.5-1,200 rpm with 15 kW. Automatic 3-range gearbox with electronic variable-speed drive. It weighs 5,500 kg.
What it is used for
- Shafts and medium-to-long parts for machinery, hydraulics and transmissions.
- Large-diameter parts, up to Ø800 mm swing.
- Heavy-duty maintenance: steelmaking, paper, shipbuilding and energy.
Standard equipment
- FAGOR 8060 Elite T-ICU control.
- 8-position (electronic) turret and 3-jaw Ø 325 mm chuck.
- Manual tailstock with Ø 150 mm quill, fixed steady rest 120-350 mm and travelling steady rest 20-140 mm.
- Manual handwheels, lubrication, coolant, removable swarf tray and full enclosure.
Options include FANUC 0i-TF Plus or SIEMENS 828D control, hydraulic chuck and tailstock, swarf conveyor and air conditioning for the electrical cabinet. The PL-80 series is also available with 1,000, 2,000, 3,000 and 4,000 mm between centres.
