Description
The Vurcon PL-63 × 1500 is a CNC flat-bed lathe with 1,500 mm between centres. It swings Ø 630 mm over the bed and Ø 340 mm over the cross slide, turns up to Ø 630 × 1,350 mm and takes bars up to Ø 98 mm. The A2-11 spindle runs at 21.5-1,200 rpm with 11 kW and 2,000 Nm of torque. Automatic 3-range gearbox with electronic speed control. It weighs 5,500 kg.
What it is used for
- Shafts and medium-to-long parts for machinery, hydraulics and transmission.
- Large-diameter parts in alloy steel, stainless steel or cast iron.
- Heavy maintenance: steel, paper, shipbuilding and energy.
Standard equipment
- FAGOR 8060 Elite T-ICU control.
- 8-station (electronic) turret and Ø 325 mm 3-jaw chuck.
- Manual tailstock with Ø 150 mm quill, fixed steady rest 120-350 mm and travelling steady rest 20-140 mm.

Options include FANUC 0i-TF Plus or SIEMENS 828D control, hydraulic chuck and tailstock, swarf conveyor and an air conditioner for the electrical cabinet. The PL-63 series is also available with 1,000, 2,000, 3,000 and 4,000 mm between centres.
