Description
The Vurcon PL-50 × 3000 is a flat-bed CNC lathe with 3,000 mm between centres. It swings Ø 510 mm over the bed and Ø 290 mm over the carriage, turns up to Ø 500 × 2,820 mm and accepts bars of Ø 78 mm. The A2-8 spindle runs at 2,500 rpm with 11 / 15 kW. Electronic variable-speed drive. It weighs 3,900 kg.
Typical applications
- Long shafts, lead screws and industrial rolls.
- Short and medium runs in general machining workshops.
- Repair and manufacture of spare parts.
Standard equipment
- FAGOR 8060 Elite T-ICU control.
- 8-station turret and Ø 250 mm 3-jaw chuck.
- Manual tailstock with Ø 75 mm quill, fixed steady rest 20-130 and 130-260 mm, travelling steady rest 20-80 mm.

Options include FANUC 0i-TF Plus or SIEMENS 828D control, hydraulic chuck and tailstock, swarf conveyor and air conditioning in the electrical cabinet. The PL-50 series is also built with 750, 1,000, 1,500 and 2,000 mm between centres.
