Description
The Vurcon PL-61M × 3000 is a CNC flat-bed lathe with 3,000 mm between centres. It swings Ø 610 mm over the bed and Ø 360 mm over the cross slide, turns up to Ø 360 × 2,920 mm and takes bars up to Ø 78 mm. The A2-8 spindle runs at 2,500 rpm with 11 kW. Electronic variable speed control. It weighs 3,900 kg. The turret with 12 VDI30F live tools and the C axis allow drilling, tapping and milling without removing the part from the chuck.
What it is used for
- Long shafts, spindles and industrial rollers.
- Shafts with keyways, radial holes and milled flats in a single setup.

Standard equipment

- Manual tailstock with Ø 75 mm quill, fixed steady rest 20-130 and 130-260 mm, travelling steady rest 20-80 mm.

Options include FANUC 0i-TF Plus or SIEMENS 828D control, hydraulic chuck and tailstock, chip conveyor and an air conditioner for the electrical cabinet. The PL-61M series is also available with 1,000, 1,500 and 2,000 mm between centres.
