Description and equipment
Inlasa 320x1500 centre lathe
Conventional centre lathe for machining shafts, flanges, bushings, pulleys and medium and large diameter parts of revolution. With 1,500 mm between centres and a 640 mm swing over bed, it covers a good part of the daily work of a general machining or maintenance shop.
Key strengths
The gap bed allows a swing of up to 965 mm next to the chuck, useful for large-diameter discs and short flanges. The 52 mm spindle bore takes bar of that diameter through the headstock. As can be seen in the photos, the screw-cutting gearbox includes charts for metric, inch and module threads.

What workpiece size does the Inlasa 320x1500 lathe accept?
It takes parts up to 1,500 mm between centres and a swing of 640 mm over the bed, 420 mm over the cross slide and 965 mm in the gap area. Bar up to 52 mm passes through the spindle bore. It is suited to long shafts and parts of medium or large diameter.
What is the gap in the bed for?
The gap is a recess in the bed next to the chuck that leaves more room to swing short parts of large diameter. On this lathe the swing goes from 640 mm over the bed to 965 mm in the gap, which allows discs, flanges or handwheels to be turned that would not fit over the normal bed.
What threads can this lathe cut?
The screw-cutting gearbox charts that can be seen in the photos include metric, inch and module threads, so the most common pitches in industrial maintenance can be single-point threaded, and module worm screws can be cut. The exact pitch is selected with the levers on the feed gearbox.
