Description
The Vurcon EL80 × 4000 is an electronic cycle-control lathe: it is operated like a conventional lathe, with handwheels on X and Z, but it automatically runs turning, facing, threading and copying cycles that the operator enters on a touchscreen, with no ISO code programming. It swings Ø 800 mm over the bed and Ø 480 mm over the cross slide, takes workpieces up to 4,000 mm long and is fitted with a Ø 320 mm jaw chuck. The A11 spindle runs at 14-1,000 rpm (4 speed ranges) with 15 kW and 3,280 Nm, and has a Ø 104 mm bore. Weight: 6,700 kg.
What it is used for

Standard equipment
