Gurutzpe A-1200 CNC flat-bed lathe
Large-swing CNC flat-bed lathe from the Gipuzkoa manufacturer Gurutzpe, which specialises in heavy horizontal lathes. With a 1,200 mm swing over bed, 3,000 mm between centres and a 150 mm bar capacity, it is designed for large parts in sectors such as energy, steel, oil & gas, mining and heavy machinery.
The Gurutzpe A series
According to the manufacturer, the A-1200 model builds on the A-1000 and increases the width of the hardened prismatic guideways, with a ball screw on the longitudinal axis to give the carriage stability on roughing passes. The 4-position automatic vertical turret allows operations to be chained without manual tool changes, and the Fagor control is familiar in most Spanish workshops.

According to our data sheet, this unit takes parts up to 1,200 mm in diameter over the bed and 615 mm over the cross slide, with 3,000 mm between centres. The 150 mm bar capacity lets thick tubes and bars pass through the headstock, which is common in pipe work and in threading oilfield parts.
