What does 16/10 t mean on this overhead crane?
It indicates that it has two hooks: a main one of 16 t and an auxiliary one of 10 t. This way very heavy parts can be lifted with the main hook, or loads can be turned over and handled using both.
What are the advantages of a double-girder overhead crane?
With two girders, the trolley runs on top of them, which allows greater capacities and spans than a single-girder crane and makes better use of hook height. It is the usual choice from several tonnes upwards.
