Description and equipment

Conventional universal milling machine for workshop and tooling

The Heller FU 1120/1250 is a conventional universal knee-type milling machine, suited to maintenance shops, tooling, vocational training and one-off part production.

Key strengths of the machine

Its universal knee-type configuration allows milling, drilling and boring at different angles with feeds on all three axes. This unit has a 3-axis Fagor digital readout, which makes positioning and reading dimensions easier without relying on verniers, and a perimeter table guard with doors and safety interlocks.

Frequently asked questions

What workpiece size does the Heller FU 1120/1250 milling machine accept?

It has a 1,250 x 260 mm table and travels of 800 mm in X, 280 mm in Y and 370 mm in Z. It is suitable for small and medium-sized workshop parts, such as flanges, brackets, shafts, keys and small tooling, held in a vice or directly on the table.

What does the Fagor readout on this milling machine offer?

The 3-axis Fagor digital readout shows the position of the table and the head on screen. It makes it easier to position holes, work with incremental dimensions and cut down on vernier reading errors, which improves accuracy and speed on one-off parts and repairs.

What is the difference between a universal milling machine and a CNC milling machine?

On a conventional universal milling machine the operator moves the axes with handwheels or power feeds, and the versatility of the head allows work at several angles. A CNC milling machine runs programs automatically. The conventional machine is simpler and quicker to set up for one-off parts, repairs and training.
