What is a CEVISA CHP-6 bevelling machine used for?
It is used to cut the chamfer or bevel on the edge of a plate, the preparation needed for full-penetration butt welding. It is a portable machine that travels along the edge, faster and cleaner than manual grinding.
What is the difference between shear bevelling and milling bevelling?
A shear-type bevelling machine removes the material with a blade and leaves a continuous chip, with a very good feed rate. A milling-type machine works with an insert cutter and allows larger bevels or harder materials, but it is usually slower and more costly.
