Description
The Vurcon VL-85 is a compact 3-axis vertical machining centre. It has travels of 850 × 500 × 550 mm, a 1,000 × 500 mm table with a load capacity of 600 kg and a BBT40 spindle of 10,000 rpm with a 11 / 15 kW motor and 118 Nm of torque. The bed and column are cast iron, with linear roller guideways on all three axes and an oil-cooled spindle head. It weighs 6,000 kg.
Typical applications
- Small and medium-sized parts in series: flanges, brackets, housings and fixtures.
- Workshops looking for their first vertical centre or to expand capacity without taking up much space.
- Aluminium, steel and cast iron with good spindle speed and fast tool change.
Standard equipment
- FANUC 0i-MF Plus control with 15" touchscreen, Manual Guide i and electronic handwheel.
- 30-tool magazine with a 2.5 s tool change.
- Through-tool coolant at 20 bar, oil and coolant separator, and air and coolant guns.
- Chain swarf conveyor, automatic lubrication and air conditioning in the electrical cabinet.
Options include HEIDENHAIN, SIEMENS or FAGOR control, BBT50 taper, other spindles from 6,000 to 20,000 rpm, rotary table, probes and linear scales.
