Description
The Takumi VC1500 is a 3-axis vertical machining centre of the VC series, with a C-frame bed and cross-type table, designed for part and tooling production with an excellent price-performance ratio. Its travels are 1,524 × 762 × 610 mm and the 1,680 × 762 mm table takes 1,360 kg.
As standard it is fitted with an in-line spindle at 15,000 rpm with an SK40 BigPlus taper, 10 / 14 kW and 89.4 Nm, cooled by a chiller. Optional spindles from 12,000 to 15,000 rpm are available, with up to 223 Nm of torque. The double-arm magazine has 40 positions and rapid traverse rates reach 36 / 36 / 24 m/min, with preloaded linear ball guideways on all three axes.
The Meehanite cast-iron structure, hand-scraped assembly surfaces and preloaded ball screws ensure accuracy and thermal stability. The European equipment includes a Heidenhain TNC7 basic control, full enclosure, programmable air blast, an oil skimmer and a swarf conveyor; options include through-spindle coolant at 30 bar, a 4th/5th-axis rotary table, measuring probes and the Knoll production package.
