Description
The Takumi V15 is a 3-axis vertical machining centre of the V series, built with box ways on all axes for heavy stock removal in steel, cast iron and alloy steels. It offers travels of 1,524 × 762 × 720 mm and a 1,600 × 760 mm table that takes up to 1,500 kg.
The standard belt-driven spindle reaches 12,000 rpm with an SK40 taper, 10 / 14 kW and 89 Nm of torque. Optional spindles from 6,000 to 10,000 rpm are available, with up to 636 Nm of torque. The double-arm tool changer handles 24 tools and rapid traverse rates reach 18 / 18 / 16 m/min.
The bed, column and saddle are made of heat-treated Meehanite cast iron, with hand-scraped bearing surfaces: rigidity and damping for good finishes and longer tool life. In Europe it is supplied with a Heidenhain TNC7 basic control, spindle cooling, swarf flushing, an oil skimmer and a swarf conveyor. Options include through-spindle coolant at 30 bar, a 4th/5th-axis rotary table, workpiece and tool probes and the Knoll production package.
