Description
The Hurco VMX 50Di belongs to the high-performance VMX series in its Di version: an SK40 spindle with direct drive at 15,000 rpm, 22 kW and 140 Nm, designed to combine heavy stock removal and a good finish on the same machine.
Its travels of 1,270 × 660 × 610 mm and the 1,500 × 660 mm table (6 T-slots of 18 mm, 1,818 kg load capacity) allow medium and large parts, multiple fixtures or mould plates to be machined. The magazine holds 30 tools, with an option for 40 or 60, and rapid traverse rates reach 32 / 32 / 24 m/min.
The cast-iron bed and the weight of 9,080 kg provide the rigidity needed for demanding machining. It comes with a scraper swarf conveyor as standard and accepts a CNC rotary table, probes and a production package with belt filter and through-spindle coolant.
Like all Hurco machines, it is programmed with the MAX5 control and WinMax software: conversational programming at the machine, with no need for CAM for most parts, and also in ISO (NC) code. Ferrotall, the Hurco distributor, advises you on configuration, installation and training.
