Description
The Hurco VM 15Di is the newest 3-axis vertical machining centre in the entry-level VM range. It combines a compact footprint with a direct-drive SK40 spindle at 12,000 rpm, 17 kW and 107 Nm, more powerful than those of the VM 10i (11 kW) and VM 20i (15 kW).
It offers travels of 762 × 407 × 508 mm (X/Y/Z), a 900 × 406 mm table with 3 T-slots of 18 mm and a load capacity of up to 1,500 kg. Rapid traverse rates of 36 / 36 / 30 m/min and the 24-tool magazine make it suitable for both one-off parts and short runs in general machining, die and mould making and maintenance shops.
It weighs 3,360 kg and occupies 3,501 × 3,541 mm with the doors, control and swarf evacuation open, so it fits in workshops with little space. It accepts a CNC rotary table as a 4th axis, workpiece and tool probes and automatic loading with ProCobots.
Like all Hurco machines, it is programmed with the MAX5 control and WinMax software: conversational programming at the machine, with no need for CAM for most parts, and also in ISO (NC) code. Ferrotall, the Hurco distributor, advises you on configuration, installation and training.
