Description
The Vurcon DC1020 is a double-column (gantry-type) machining centre from the DC series. It has travels of 2,050 × 1,100 × 600 mm, 1,250 mm between columns and a 2,000 × 1,000 mm table that takes 4,000 kg. The BT50 taper spindle turns at 8,000 rpm with a 15/18.5 kW motor and 143 Nm of torque. The machine weighs 19,000 kg, a mass that damps vibration in heavy roughing.
