Description
The Hurco DCX 32-5Si is a 5-axis gantry centre for large, heavy parts. On the double-column structure of the DCX 32, it adds a head with B (+100 / -110°) and C (±360°) axes, so the workpiece stays fixed on the table while the spindle swivels for 5-axis machining.
Its travels are 3,200 × 2,100 × 900 mm, with a 3,000 × 1,700 mm table (7 T-slots of 22 mm H8) and a load capacity of 11,000 kg. The HSK-A63 spindle at 18,000 rpm and 63 kW (106 Nm) allows high-speed machining of large workpieces. Rapid traverse rates are 15 / 15 / 10 m/min and the B/C axes rotate at 120 / 80 rpm.
The magazine holds 40 tools, with an option for 60. With a weight of 37,700 kg, a 1,470 l coolant tank, a scraper conveyor and a swarf auger, it is a machine for demanding production of large, complex parts in a single set-up.
