Description
The Hurco BX 40Ui combines the gantry (double-column) design of the BX series with an integrated tilting-rotary table for simultaneous 5-axis machining. Hurco sums it up as an agile, accurate machine built on a gantry frame.
It offers travels of 950 × 550 × 500 mm, a B axis of -30 / +110° and a C axis of 360°. The Ø 348 mm table takes workpieces up to Ø 535 mm and 250 kg. The HSK-A63 spindle at 18,000 rpm, 35 kW and 119 Nm and rapid traverse rates of 36 m/min on X/Y/Z make it suited to complex parts with high demands on accuracy and surface finish.
According to Hurco, the gantry design of the BX series provides high rigidity and good resistance to temperature variations, which favours accuracy. The magazine holds 30 tools, with an option for 50; the machine weighs 8,520 kg and has a 557 l coolant tank and a scraper conveyor.
The MAX5 control with WinMax allows 3+2 and 5-axis programming conversationally at the machine or in ISO code from CAM. Ferrotall, the Hurco distributor, advises you on configuration and training.
