Description
The Takumi UA400 is a 5-axis machining centre of the U series with a Ø 400 mm tilting-rotary table (A axis -120° / +30°, C axis 360°), designed for complex parts in mould making, aerospace, medical and precision engineering. Its travels are 630 × 620 × 510 mm and the table takes 200 kg.
The standard spindle is an in-line type at 15,000 rpm with an SK40 BigPlus taper (10 / 14 kW, 89.4 Nm). The double-arm magazine has 40 positions and rapid traverse rates reach 36 m/min.
The heat-treated Meehanite cast-iron structure, with hand-scraped bearing surfaces, provides rigidity and damping. As standard it includes a Heidenhain TNC7 control, absolute linear scales on all axes, thermal spindle compensation, through-spindle coolant at 30 bar, a coolant ring, a spindle chiller and a swarf conveyor. Options include workpiece and tool probes, the Knoll production package and Rotoclear.
Weighing 9,500 kg and with a rigid cast-iron structure, the UA400 makes it possible to machine in a single set-up parts that would otherwise require several clampings. Ferrotall advises you on configuration, automation, installation, service and support.
