Description
The Hurco VMX 84SWi is the largest of the Hurco centres with a tilting head (B axis ±90°). It is designed for large parts that need angled machining: it works in 4+1 axes and, with the optional rotary table (A or C axis), in 5 axes.
It offers travels of 2,134 × 864 × 762 mm and a 2,184 × 865 mm table with 7 T-slots of 18 mm and a load capacity of 2,268 kg. The SK40 spindle at 12,000 rpm, 36.5 kW and 120 Nm is mounted in the tilting head, so the workpiece stays fixed on the table and inclined faces can be machined without re-clamping.
The magazine holds 40 tools, rapid traverse rates are 18 / 18 / 13.5 m/min and the B axis rotates at 50 rpm. With a weight of 16,750 kg, a 1,046 l coolant tank and a scraper conveyor, it is a robust machine for long, bulky parts.
