Description
The Hurco VMX 30UDi is a 5-axis machining centre with an integrated tilting-rotary table and a direct-drive spindle (UD version). Hurco describes it as the ideal machine for medium-sized 5-axis parts, thanks to its balance of power, speed and price.
It offers travels of 762 × 508 × 520 mm, an A axis of +30 / -110° and a C axis of 360°. The Ø 248 mm table takes workpieces up to Ø 406 mm and 200 kg. The SK40 spindle at 15,000 rpm, 15 kW and 95.5 Nm and the rapid traverse rates of 45 / 45 / 40 m/min reduce positioning times.
Because the table is integrated into the machine rather than added on to a 3-axis machine, the full usable travel in Z is retained. The magazine holds 40 tools, with an option for 60; it weighs 6,200 kg and includes a scraper conveyor. It accepts probes and automatic loading with ProCobots.
The MAX5 control with WinMax allows 3+2 and 5-axis programming conversationally at the machine or in ISO code from CAM. Ferrotall, the Hurco distributor, advises you on configuration, installation and training.
