Ferrotall is pleased to announce the acquisition of a travelling-column milling machine . It is a newly acquired second-hand machine that joins our extensive catalogue of used machinery available for sale. At Ferrotall we always like to have CNC milling machines in stock, and this time it is a machine for large, high-precision workpieces. This used milling machine, a ZAYER, comes from a company in Asturias specialising in precision machining for the wind power and aerospace sectors. It is a fixed-table travelling-column milling machine from the prestigious ZAYER brand, built in 2006 and very fully equipped.
FEATURES OF THE ZAYER 30KCU 8000 AR
The main technical features of this milling machine are its travel of 8,020 mm in X, 1,252 mm in Y (plus an 800 mm quill extension in the W axis) and 3,503 mm in Z.
It also has an automatic head with 0.001° positioning increments. The milling machine includes a 60-position tool changer and is very well equipped with a long list of extras, such as through-tool coolant and a swarf conveyor. The CNC control is a Siemens 840D.
Another feature worth mentioning is the 360° rotary table. The circular table measures 2,500 × 2,000 mm (with a permissible load of 25 t) and, together with the fixed table of 3,500 × 2,000 mm, makes it possible to machine very large workpieces.
