We say goodbye to the year by taking stock and summing up everything that happened across the different business lines that make up the group.
We begin with the events of the machining sector, because 2024 was a BIEMH year (with everything that entails) and, as could hardly be otherwise, both Ferrotall and Heller Maquinaria were present at the sector's most important international fair of the year that is now ending.
Ferrotall took part in the event held in June at the BEC, showing its full potential with a 5-axis machining centre and an automation system from the German manufacturer GROB WERKE, as well as the 3-axis vertical machining centre VL-106 from Vurcon, which machined the Mandalorian mask together with our CAD/CAM colleagues at Cimatech.
For its part, Heller Maquinaria used the event to present its new series of slotting machines, in addition to its most characteristic conventional machines.

Besides BIEMH, Ferrotall also attended other international events such as the by now famous GROB WERKE Open House, held in April at its headquarters in Mindelheim, and AMB in Stuttgart, held in September, where we were also able to see all the 4- and 5-axis machining options as well as the automation options.
Back on home ground, Ferrotall wrapped up the events calendar with Advanced Manufacturing, held on 20 and 21 November, as every year, at IFEMA, where it presented the new VURCON CNC lathes with Fagor control, while Heller showed its new touchscreen drilling machines as its main novelty.
Internal improvements: the Lean Manufacturing method
Internally, meanwhile, the Ferrotall group took a step up in quality by implementing the lean manufacturing method in its production area (Ferromaster), a working philosophy that has transformed productivity in every respect and confirms the continuous improvement policy followed within the business group.
Staying with Ferromaster, this year we have renewed our status as official technical service in Spain for the German manufacturer GROB-WERKE, and we have opened a "spindle hotel" service at our Monforte del Cid facilities for GROB customers nationwide.
Vurcon CNC continues its expansion
Vurcon, for its part, continues its international expansion and keeps adding machines to its broad product range of CNC lathes and machining centres. This year its first column-type machining centre has been installed: the DC1020, the first of many.

In 2024, Heller Maquinaria set out to strengthen its range of conventional machinery by improving its machines and launching new models that complete the series of drilling machines and slotting machines.
