Description
The Vurcon SBL78M is a 30° slant-bed CNC lathe with live tooling. It swings Ø 650 mm over the bed, turns parts up to Ø 400 × 800 mm and has a bar capacity of Ø 75 mm. The A2-8 spindle (belt-driven) runs at 3,000 rpm with 15 kW, and the turret carries 12 BMT65 live tools. The slant bed clears swarf well and gives good access to the work area.
Typical applications
- Turned parts with radial drilling, milling or threading in a single set-up.
- Medium series from bar or part by part, in steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
- Subcontractors and workshops that need to shorten cycle times.
