What are the travels and table size of this milling machine?
According to our data sheet, the table measures 800 x 400 mm and the travels are 620 mm in X, 420 mm in Y and 400 mm in Z. The taper is ISO 40 DIN 2080, a very common standard for which toolholders and tooling are easy to find.
What is a ram head?
It is a head that moves horizontally on the column, extending the spindle's reach over the table without moving the workpiece. Combined with the head swivel, it allows faces, square shoulders and inclined surfaces to be milled on a single universal machine.
Is it a CNC milling machine?
No. It is a conventional universal milling machine, operated manually. The photos show a Newall digital readout, which makes it easier to read the axis positions, but it is not a numerical control. It is suited to one-off parts, repairs and short runs.
