MTE Kompakt Plus CNC bed-type milling machine
MTE CNC bed-type milling machine, model Kompakt Plus according to the marking on the enclosure. It is used for milling medium-sized and large steel and cast iron parts, such as bases, plates and tooling components.
Key strengths of the series
According to the manufacturer's data sheet for the series, the Kompakt Plus has a 2,200x750 mm table and travels of 2,000 mm in X and 800 mm in Y and Z; these are series data, not confirmed on this unit.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a bed-type milling machine and a vertical machining centre?
On a bed-type milling machine the table travels longitudinally and the head moves on the other axes, which favours long, heavy parts. On a column-type vertical machining centre the table usually moves in X and Y. The MTE Kompakt Plus is of the first type.
What control does this milling machine have?
The panel shows the MTE logo, a screen and an alphanumeric keyboard, but the make and model of the CNC control cannot be read in the photos, so we do not state them. Contact us and we will check it on the machine before you decide.
Does this machine have a fourth (IV) axis?
The portable handwheel shows an IV key next to X, Y and Z, and there is a connector on the head. There is no evidence that a rotary table or dividing head is fitted. Contact us if you need one; we will verify it on the machine.
