Description and equipment
What it is
Haas VF-3 vertical machining centre in the Super Speed version (marked "Super VF 3"), with a 12,000 rpm direct-drive spindle according to the marking on the enclosure. It is a machine designed for the production of medium-sized parts.
Key strengths
According to Haas, the VF-3SS offers travels of 40 x 20 x 25 inches, rapids of 1,400 inches per minute and a side-mount tool changer. Our data sheet matches those travels and the 12,000 rpm spindle.

What travels does the Haas VF-3 have?
According to our data sheet, the travels are 1,016 mm in X, 508 mm in Y and 635 mm in Z, with a 1,219 x 457 mm table. This corresponds to the 40 x 20 x 25-inch configuration of the VF-3 series, a common size for mid-range machining centres.
What do Super VF-3 and TSC mean?
The marking on the enclosure reads Super VF 3, 12,000 rpm direct-drive spindle, 1,400 IPM and TSC (Through-Spindle Coolant). Our data sheet records the 12,000 rpm and through-tool coolant. TSC is useful for deep-hole drilling and clearing swarf from pockets.
Does it include a fourth axis or indexer?
We do not claim so: some photos in the listing show a rotary indexer with a tailstock, but we cannot be sure they belong to this unit, so this is still to be confirmed. Contact us if you need it and we will confirm before any commitment.
