Frequently asked questions

Which CNC control does the Chevalier VMC 3060 have?

The console screen reads «FANUC Series 18-M», a Fanuc control for milling applications. It is advisable to confirm the active options on this unit with our service engineers before buying.

What size of part can it take?

The table dimensions and travels of this unit are not in our records. The photographs show it is a large machine. If you send us the dimensions of your part, we will check compatibility with the machine in front of us in Monforte del Cid.

What is the difference between a vertical machining centre and a milling machine?

A vertical machining centre has an automatic changer that swaps tools during the program, and the full enclosure contains swarf and coolant. A conventional milling machine requires manual tool changes and is usually used for one-off parts; a CNC machining centre is better suited to repeat batches.
