Description and equipment
Torrent T.72.42 conventional centre lathe
Manually operated horizontal lathe for turning, facing and threading shaft-type parts as one-offs or in very small batches: maintenance, repair, tooling and short workshop runs.
The headstock plate includes a table with three length variants (A, B and C), which suggests the model was offered with several bed lengths.
Configuration of this unit

Frequently asked questions
What workpiece length does this lathe accept?
According to our data sheet, the distance between centres is 1,500 mm. This is the maximum workpiece length that can be held between the chuck and the tailstock. The swing is not recorded in our data sheet; we will confirm it before your visit.
Is it a CNC lathe?
No. Judging by the photos, it is a conventional centre lathe, with speeds and feeds changed by levers and manual handwheels. No numerical control screen or digital readout can be seen in the images. It is suited to workshop jobs that do not require CNC programming.
Where can I see the machine?
It is at our premises in Monforte del Cid (Alicante). If you cannot travel, we can send you a video of the machine. Our own service engineers handle transport, installation and commissioning at your workshop.
