Conventional centre lathe from the Spanish manufacturer Pinacho, suited to maintenance and toolroom work and to small batches of turned, threaded and drilled parts.
According to the manufacturer's documentation, the SP-180 series combines a centre height of 180 mm with a distance between centres of 750 or 1,000 mm and a spindle speed range of 60 to 2,000 rpm. A thread and feed chart is marked on the front of the machine.
Turning shafts, bushes and flanges, facing, threading and repairs in machine shops and industrial maintenance.
The lathe is at our premises in Monforte del Cid (Alicante), where you can visit it; contact us to see it running or to receive a video. Our own service engineers take care of transport, installation and commissioning.
Our data sheet gives 1,000 mm between centres, so it takes workpieces up to that length between the headstock centre and the tailstock. Swing over the bed is 360 mm, rising to 520 mm with the gap removed. The main spindle bore is 42 mm, useful for passing bar stock.
No. It is a conventional centre lathe, operated with handwheels and levers. The photos show no digital readout or numerical control. It suits one-off parts, repairs and short runs, where programming a CNC machine does not pay off. If you need to automate repeat parts, a CNC lathe is worth considering.
Our data sheet lists a range of 60 to 2,000 rpm. According to the manufacturer's documentation for the SP series, the spindle has nine speeds within that range. Speeds are selected with the headstock levers, which are marked on the front of the machine.
