Description and equipment
Pinacho S-90/225 centre lathe
Centre lathe from the Pinacho S-90 series with 1,650 mm between centres, 450 mm swing over bed and 650 mm swing in gap. The spindle bore is 52 mm. It is a lathe for long shafts and medium-sized parts in machining and maintenance shops.
Visible equipment
The headstock plate is marked ‘S-90/225’ and carries the thread tables for metric, Whitworth, module and diametral pitch threads. A three-jaw chuck, a toolpost, a blue fixed steady rest on the bed and a guard with a window at the end of the bed can be seen.

What workpiece length does the S-90/225 take?
According to the data sheet, 1,650 mm between centres, with 450 mm swing over bed and 650 mm in the gap. A fixed steady rest is mounted on the bed, useful for supporting long shafts during turning and preventing them from deflecting under the cutting load.
What threads can it cut?
The feed gearbox plate shows tables for metric, Whitworth, module and diametral pitch threads, with the lever settings for each pitch. This is useful for repair and maintenance work involving different thread standards, without having to change machine.
