Lacfer CR1 centre lathe with 1,500 mm between centres
The Lacfer CR1 is a mid-sized conventional centre lathe for general workshop jobs. Our data sheet lists 1,500 mm between centres, 440 mm swing over bed and 250 mm over the cross slide.

What workpiece size does the Lacfer CR1 accept?
According to our data sheet, 1,500 mm between centres, 440 mm swing over bed and 250 mm over the cross slide. The spindle bore is 41 mm, which limits the diameter of bar that can pass through the headstock. It is a common size for shafts and medium-length parts.
What is the tailstock drill chuck for?
The drill chuck fitted in the tailstock quill allows drilling on the axis of the workpiece held in the chuck, advancing the quill with the handwheel. It is used for centre holes, pilot holes before boring and centre points, without removing the part or taking it to a drilling machine.
Is it a CNC lathe?
No. It is a conventional centre lathe with power feeds, operated with handwheels and levers. It is well suited to one-off parts, repairs and short runs in maintenance workshops, where flexibility and quick set-up count for more than programming.
