Lagun GBM 14 bed-type milling machine
CNC bed-type milling machine from the manufacturer Lagun (Goratu Group), designed for machining medium-sized and heavy parts: tooling, moulds, plates, frames and machinery components. The 1,400 x 700 mm table takes up to 3,000 kg and the head works with a 50 taper, suited to roughing with large-diameter tools.

According to Lagun, the GBM milling machines are based on a fixed-bed design in which the table does not move up or down, which gives rigidity with heavy parts.

What workpiece size does the Lagun GBM 14 accept?
According to our data sheet, the table measures 1,400 x 700 mm and supports up to 3,000 kg, with travels of 1,300 mm in X, 800 mm in Y and 800 mm in Z. This allows plates, frames and bulky parts to be machined that would be difficult to clamp on a knee-type milling machine.
What is the difference between a bed-type and a knee-type milling machine?
On a bed-type milling machine the table rests directly on the bed and it is the head that moves vertically. As there is no overhanging knee, it supports heavier parts with greater rigidity, which favours heavy roughing passes and accuracy on large parts.
What taper and what control does this milling machine have?
This unit has a DIN 69871 A50 taper, suited to large-diameter tools and roughing passes, with a spindle speed of up to 3,000 rpm. It has a Fagor CNC control, widely established in Spanish workshops, which makes it easy to find programmers and technical support.
