Description
The Hurco BX 50Ti is the double-column (gantry) version of the BX series, with an SK50 spindle at 10,000 rpm, 26 kW and 336 Nm. While the BX 40i/50i/60i models are fitted with HSK-A63 spindles at 20,000 rpm geared to high speed, the BX 50Ti is designed for heavy stock removal while keeping the stability and good finish of the gantry design.
It offers travels of 1,350 × 950 × 600 mm, a 1,500 × 960 mm table with 6 T-slots of 22 mm and a load capacity of 2,500 kg, and rapid traverse rates of 36 m/min on all three axes. The 40-tool magazine accepts tools of up to Ø 125 mm (220 mm with adjacent pockets left empty), 300 mm in length and 15 kg.
With a weight of 13,000 kg and a 790 l coolant tank, it is an option for medium-sized parts that demand rigidity, accuracy and a good surface finish.
Like all Hurco machines, it is programmed with the MAX5 control and WinMax software: conversational programming at the machine, with no need for CAM for most parts, and also in ISO (NC) code. Ferrotall, the Hurco distributor, advises you on configuration, installation and training.
