Description and equipment
What it is
Die-sinking EDM machine from ONA Electroerosión, a Basque manufacturer of this type of equipment. EDM makes it possible to machine cavities and shapes in hardened steel with graphite or copper electrodes, without cutting forces. The generator on this unit is marked ‘ONAPULS 120’.
Key strengths
The unit has a generator cabinet with ammeters, voltmeters and excitation controls, a head with a protective bellows over the tool, the work tank with side doors and a vertical filter tank. The photos show a digital readout with keypad next to the head.

What is die-sinking EDM?
It is a process in which an electrode with the required shape approaches the workpiece in a dielectric fluid, and electrical sparks remove material. It makes it possible to reproduce shapes in hard materials that cannot be machined with a cutter.
Which generator does this unit have?
The generator cabinet is marked ONAPULS 120, which is the designation shown on the unit, although some listings spell it ONAPLUS. The head does not show its model in the available photos, so the full designation of the machine should be confirmed during the visit.
Does it have numerical control?
Our data sheet gives a ‘semi-control’ drive, which means it is not a full CNC machine. The photos show a digital readout with keypad next to the head, whose make and function cannot be read at the resolution of the images. We can confirm by video what each control does before your visit.
